After graduating college I was looking for a new car to replace my worn out Honda that had little to no life left. |} The cost I was hoping to pay was about $20,000 giving me plenty of selections to choose from. After test driving several diverse versions, I chose about the Where Does Volkswagen Make Its Cars. My experience was mostly positive, but the vehicle is not without faults.

Acceleration: The car has got the 5cylinder engine using 150hp. It moves the car around adequately enough, however, the vehicle is not fast by any other means. Fortunately the transmission is a 6 rate to make sure you are constantly in the best gear. If you purchase a new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a bit more peppy as it's an additional 20 horsepower. Overall I'd give the car a 7/10 for speed.

that is unheard of at this price range.  It's very smooth. {I'd accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and supplies just the right amount of feedback. really impressive and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The auto rides firm, but is controlled and comfortable. I like a firmer ride into the soft mushy feeling you get at a vehicle like the Toyota Camry. Total 8/10.

Chairs: There is loads of room front and rear. For passengers and the seating is business, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for front seats including spinal modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it simple for everyone to get a good driving position. Total 9/10

Trunk: The trunk is huge, and is bigger than many. Moreover, the car includes hooks for you grocery bags so they stay in an upright position. It is touches like these that make this vehicle unique.  10/10

Exterior Styling: Your car looks classy with its chrome grille treatment, but the vehicle is a bit too tall for my own tastes. Some of the exterior views look a bit too Japanese for my preference, including the rear that has tail lights like the Toyota Corolla. Total 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside looks more costly the anything in the class. The substances are rich and surfaces feel high quality. 10/10

Security: This car has airbags galore including two front, two side, and head airbags as well. 10/10

Reliability: I haven't had any major problems with the vehicle, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission falls down harshly sometimes and a few of the inside elements have come loose. Additionally, the passenger has been sticky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull on the door handle double to open it. Overall I'd rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Considering its characteristics, quality, and distance the Jetta delivers good value for the price. 8/10
