seeking a new car to replace my worn out Honda which had little to no life left. |} The price I was hoping to cover was around $20,000 giving me lots of choices to pick from. After test driving many different versions, I decided about the What Car Companies Does Volkswagen Own. My experience has been largely positive, but the vehicle isn't without faults.

Acceleration: The car has the 5cylinder motor using 150hp. It moves the car around adequately enough, but the vehicle isn't fast by any means. Fortunately the transmission is a 6 rate to make sure you're constantly in the perfect gear. If you get a brand new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a bit more peppy because it has an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car a 7/10 for acceleration.

that is unheard of in this price range.  It's very smooth. {I would rate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The car steers accurately and supplies just the right amount of feedback. Handling is pretty amazing and the car always feels in control. |} tackling.|}

Ride: The car rides company, but is comfortable and controlled. I prefer a firmer ride to the soft mushy feeling you get in a vehicle such as the Toyota Camry. Total 8/10.

Chairs: There's a lot of space front and back. For passengers and the seating is firm, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for the front seats including lumbar adjustment. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it effortless for everyone to find a great driving position. Total 9/10

Trunk: The back is huge, and can be larger than many. Additionally, the car has got hooks for you grocery store bags so they stay in a vertical position. It is touches like these that make this vehicle special.  10/10

Exterior Styling: Your car looks elegant with its own chrome grille treatment, but the vehicle is a bit too tall for my tastes. Some of the outside views seem a bit too Japanese to my taste, for example, back that has tail lights such as the Toyota Corolla. Total 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside looks more expensive the anything in this class. The materials are surfaces and rich texture high quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore involving two frontside, and head airbags as well. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any significant difficulties with the vehicle, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission falls down harshly sometimes and a few of the inside components come loose. Additionally, the passenger door has been tacky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull the door handle twice to open it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.
