trying to find a new car to replace my worn out Honda that had little to no life left. |} The cost I was expecting to cover was about $20,000 giving me plenty of alternatives to choose from. After test driving several distinct models, I decided about the Volkswagen Up! Lite Concept. My experience has been largely positive, however, the car isn't without flaws.

Acceleration: My car has the 5cylinder engine using 150hp. It transfers the car around adequately enough, but the car isn't fast by any other means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 rate to make sure you're always in the perfect gear. If you buy a brand new Jetta, the car should feel a bit more peppy since it has an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car a 7/10 for acceleration.

that is unheard of in this budget.  It is quite smooth. {I would rate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The car steers accurately and provides just the perfect amount of feedback. really impressive and the car always feels in control. |} tackling.|}

Ride: The automobile rides company, but is comfortable and controlled. I prefer a milder ride to the soft buttery feeling you get in a car like the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Chairs: There is lots of room front and back. For passengers and the seating is company, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for the front seats including lumbar adjustment. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it simple for anybody to get a good driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The trunk is enormous, and can be larger than most. Moreover, the car includes hooks for you grocery bags so they remain in an upright position. It's touches like these that make this car unique.  10/10

Exterior Styling: The car looks classy with its chrome grille treatment, but the car is a bit too tall for my own tastes. A number of the outside views look a bit too Japanese for my own taste, including the back which has tail lights like the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The interior looks more costly the anything in this class. The substances are rich and surfaces texture good quality. 10/10

Security: This car has airbags galore involving two frontside, and head airbags too. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any significant issues with the car, but it simply has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission strikes down sharply sometimes and a few of the interior components come loose. Additionally, the passenger door has been tacky ever since I bought it. People must pull on the door handle twice to start it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Considering its characteristics, quality, and distance the Jetta delivers great value for the price. 8/10
