trying to find a brand new car to replace my worn out Honda which had little to no life left. |} The price I was expecting to cover was around $20,000 offering me lots of options to choose from. After test driving a number of different models, I decided on the Volkswagen Midsize Car. My experience has been largely positive, but the car isn't without flaws.

Acceleration: The car has the 5cylinder motor with 150hp. It moves the car around sufficiently enough, but the car isn't fast by any other means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 speed to be sure you're constantly in the best equipment. If you get a new Jetta, the car should feel a bit more peppy because it's an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car an 7/10 for speed.

Transmission: The transmission is a 6 speed automatic which is unheard of at this price range.  It is very smooth. {I would accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and supplies just the ideal amount of feedback. Handling is pretty remarkable and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The auto rides firm, but is comfortable and controlled. I prefer a firmer ride to the soft mushy feeling you get at a car such as the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Chairs: There is plenty of space front and back. For passengers and the seats is business, but comfortable. There are plenty of adjustments for the front seats including knee modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it simple for everyone to obtain a great driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The back is huge, and can be larger than many. Additionally, the car includes hooks for you grocery store bags so they remain in an upright position. It is touches like these that make this car special.  10/10

Exterior Styling: The car looks classy with its own chrome grille treatment, but the car is a bit too tall for my preferences. A number of the outside views seem somewhat too Japanese to my own taste, for example, back that has tail lights such as the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside looks more costly the anything in the course. The materials are surfaces and rich texture good quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore involving two front, two side, and head airbags too. 10/10

Reliability: I haven't had any major issues with the car, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission kicks down harshly sometimes and a few of the inside components have come loose. Also, the passenger has been sticky ever since I purchased it. People must pull the door handle twice to open it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Contemplating its characteristics, quality, and distance the Jetta offers great value for the cost. 8/10
