trying to find a brand new car to replace my worn out Honda that had little to no life left. |} The cost I was hoping to pay was around $20,000 offering me lots of selections to choose from. After test driving several different versions, I decided about the Volkswagen Floating Car. My experience has been largely positive, but the vehicle is not without flaws.

Acceleration: The car has the 5cylinder engine using 150hp. It transfers the car around adequately enough, but the vehicle is not fast by any means. Fortunately the transmission is a 6 rate to make sure you're constantly in the best gear. If you purchase a brand new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a little more peppy because it has an additional 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car an 7/10 for speed.

that is unheard of in this budget.  It is very smooth. {I would rate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and supplies just the right amount of feedback. Handling is pretty amazing and the car always feels in control. |} tackling.|}

Ride: The auto rides firm, but is comfortable and controlled. I like a firmer ride to the soft mushy feeling you get in a vehicle like the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Chairs: There is loads of room front and back. For passengers and the seating is company, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for front seats including knee modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes making it easy for anyone to get a great driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The trunk is enormous, and is larger than most. Moreover, the car gets hooks for you grocery bags so they remain in a vertical position. It is touches like these that make this vehicle unique.  10/10

Exterior Styling: The car looks elegant with its chrome grille treatment, but the vehicle is a little too tall for my own preferences. Some of the exterior views look somewhat too Japanese for my own taste, including the back which has tail lights like the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside seems more costly the anything in this class. The substances are surfaces and rich texture good quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore involving two frontside, and head airbags as well. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any major problems with the vehicle, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission strikes down sharply sometimes and a few of the inside elements have come loose. Additionally, the passenger door has been tacky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull the door handle twice to open it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Considering its characteristics, quality, and distance the Jetta delivers great value for the money. 8/10
