trying to find a brand new car to replace my worn outside Honda which had little to no life left. |} The price I was hoping to pay was about $20,000 giving me plenty of alternatives to choose from. After test driving many unique models, I decided to the Volkswagen First Car. My experience was mostly positive, however the vehicle is not without flaws.

Acceleration: My car has got the 5cylinder motor using 150hp. It transfers the car around adequately enough, but the vehicle is not fast by any other means. Fortunately the transmission is a 6 speed to be sure you are constantly in the perfect gear. If you get a new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a bit more peppy since it's an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I'd give the car an 7/10 for speed.

that is unheard of at this budget.  It's extremely smooth. {I'd accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and provides just the right amount of feedback. Handling is pretty impressive and the car always feels in control. |} tackling.|}

Ride: The auto rides firm, but is controlled and comfortable. I prefer a firmer ride into the soft buttery feeling you get at a vehicle like the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Seating: There's tons of room front and rear. For passengers and the seating is firm, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for the front seats including spinal modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it effortless for everyone to get a fantastic driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The back is enormous, and can be larger than most. Additionally, the car gets hooks for you grocery bags so they remain in an upright position. It's touches like these that make this vehicle special.  10/10

Exterior Styling: The car looks elegant with its own chrome grille therapy, but the vehicle is a bit too tall for my own tastes. Some of the exterior views look somewhat too Japanese to my taste, for example, back that has tail lights like the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside seems more costly the anything in this class. The substances are rich and surfaces feel high quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore involving two frontside, and head airbags too. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any significant difficulties with the vehicle, but it simply has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission strikes down harshly sometimes and some of the inside elements have come loose. Additionally, the passenger has been tacky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull on the door handle double to open it. Overall I'd rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Contemplating its characteristics, quality, and space the Jetta offers good value for the cost. 8/10
