After graduating college I was looking for a brand new car to replace my worn out Honda which had little to no life left. |} The cost I was expecting to cover was about $20,000 giving me plenty of selections to pick from. After test driving a number of diverse versions, I chose about the Volkswagen Economy Car. My experience was mostly positive, however the car is not without flaws.

Acceleration: My car has the 5cylinder motor using 150hp. It transfers the car around adequately enough, however, the car is not fast by any other means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 rate to be sure you're always in the best gear. If you get a new Jetta, the car should feel a little more peppy since it has an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car an 7/10 for speed.

Transmission: The transmission is a 6 speed automatic which is unheard of at this budget.  It's quite smooth. {I would rate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and supplies just the ideal amount of feedback. really impressive and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The car rides firm, but is controlled and comfortable. I prefer a firmer ride to the soft mushy feeling you get at a car such as the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Seating: There's loads of room front and back. For passengers and the seating is company, but comfortable. There are loads of adjustments for front seats including knee modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes making it easy for anyone to find a fantastic driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The back is enormous, and can be larger than most. Additionally, the automobile gets hooks for you grocery store bags so they stay in an upright position. It is touches like these that make this car special.  10/10

Exterior Styling: Your car looks elegant with its chrome grille therapy, but the car is a little too tall for my own preferences. A number of the exterior views look a bit too Japanese for my own taste, including the back that has tail lights such as the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside looks more expensive the anything in the course. The substances are surfaces and rich feel good quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore including two front, two side, and head airbags as well. 10/10

Reliability: I haven't had any major problems with the car, but it simply has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission falls down sharply sometimes and some of the inside components come loose. Additionally, the passenger has been tacky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull on the door handle double to start it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.
