Rent A Car Chevrolet Camaro

The 2010 Camaro is one of the few cars to come from the design studio looking very similar to it is prototype. As opposed to deliver an updated fifth generation version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused decorative theme was selected, hearkening back into the style cues that made the car such a large hit when it debuted in 1967. However,  Rent A Car Chevrolet Camaro did a terrific job of evoking the taste of yesteryear with modern creature comforts. However, how can it be to drive the new 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Various trim levels are available to produce the auto match your preference, but the majority of people will appear at one of two presently available models: both the RS and SS variants. My very first test drive was with both cylinder powered RS (for rally Sport) model. This V6 is really a version of the General Motors corporate engine that goes in most of the cars nowadays. With Direct Injection and other modern technology, this motor makes over 300 horsepower.  For reference, the last of this fourth generation Camaro's just made around 20 more horsepower, which was having a V8.

From the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is abundant, but some substances are somewhat tough on the eyes and a bit less soft to the touch for a car at the price point. The dark interior contrasts the thin slit of light coming from through the very cool looking, but difficult to see from windows. Some purpose is, sadly, forfeited in the name of selling and form more cars.

The RS might be the very best price for many,  the conventional independent rear suspension along with mild six cylinder motor leading to a mild front end with sufficient electricity to earn the RS a excellent handling car. Autocrossers may prefer the RS for just this reason. But what exactly the six lacks, apart from a power bump to V8 land, is that the kick in the pants power and sound of the corporate LS series engines installed in more expensive models. Without further ado, we move to the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport version jobs to recall the days of large block power. Chevrolet's website states that this 6.2 liter V8 will get a true world 19 miles per gallon at the EPA evaluation cycle. However, with 422 horsepower on tap, so many won't have the ability to control themselves sufficient to view their very best mileage. In reality, after driving the SS, it was difficult to return it into the dealer. The SS does all the RS does, however, with more force. The handling is somewhat compromised with the engine, however also the suspension does a great job of reigning that in. Should understeer become an problem, judicious (not unbridled, particularly with the SS) application of the throttle can help that independent rear step out and fix the vehicles' direction.

Conclusion

With a mimimum of 300 horsepower plus a few impressive standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro is enjoyable.  Check off the option box for this SS motor and you'll feel nostalgic in the event the wheel. Although external visibility is somewhat compromised, there'll be no error when you return the road that this is anything but a Camaro. this, it is not surprising that this vehicle has earned the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
