Even the 2010 Camaro is among the very few cars to come out of the plan studio appearing very much like it's prototype. Instead of send an updated fifth generation version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused decorative theme was chosen, hearkening back to the style cues which made the automobile such a huge hit when it debuted in 1967. But  Regal Chevrolet Used Cars did a terrific job of evoking the taste of the past with modern creature comforts. But how is it to push the brand 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Various trim levels are offered to produce the car match your taste, but most people will appear at one of two currently available versions: both the RS and SS versions. My first test drive was using both cylinder powered RS (for rally Sport) model. This V6 is a version of the General Motors corporate engine which goes in most of the cars nowadays. With Direct Injection and other modern technology, this engine produces over 300 horsepower.  As an example, the final of the fourth generation Camaro's only made around 20 more horsepower, and that was using a V8.

In the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is abundant, but some substances are a bit tough on the eyes and a bit less soft to the touch for a car at that price point. The dark inside contrasts the thin foliage of light coming in through the very cool looking, but difficult to see out of windows. Some purpose is, sadly, sacrificed in the name of selling and form more cars.

The RS may be the very best deal for all,  the conventional independent rear suspension and mild six cylinder engine leading to a mild front end with enough electricity to produce the RS a great handling car. Autocrossers might prefer the RS for just this reason. But what exactly the six lacks, besides a power bump to V8 land, is that the kick in the pants power and sound of their corporate LS series motors installed in much more expensive models. Without further ado, we move on the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport model jobs to recall the times of big block power. Chevrolet's site says that this 6.2 liter V8 can find a true world 19 miles per gallon from the EPA evaluation cycle. But using 422 horsepower on tap, many will not have the ability to restrain themselves enough to see their very best mileage. In reality, after driving the SS, it was difficult to return it to the merchant. The SS does everything the RS does, but with greater force. The handling is somewhat compromised from the engine, but the suspension does a fantastic job of reigning which in. Should understeer become an issue, judicious (not unbridled, particularly with the SS) application of the throttle can help that independent rear step out and correct the vehicles' direction.

Conclusion

With a mimimum of 300 horsepower and some notable standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro has been enjoyable.  Pay attention to the option box for that SS engine and you will feel superhuman when behind the wheel. Although outward visibility is a bit compromised, there'll not be a error when you return the street that this is anything but a Camaro. Considering all of this, it's not surprising that this vehicle has got the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
