Our long term automobile is really a semi automatic model Mazda 3 using mid-year additional features like piano black trim, mp3 compatible CD changer, power driver's seat, lighted vanity mirrors and snowy gauge needles.  It also has a new color for the Mazda3: Metropolitan Gray Mica. Minneapolis Mazda Car Dealers added a 2nd new color for the mid year model with a beautiful white decoration alternative but we are MGM people.

There are other subtle variations however out of the above mentioned items that the 2008.5 Mazda 3 is fairly similar to the 2008 Mazda3.

About the Driver

I am coming out of a 2005 Infiniti G35x loaded with every possible option so while I corrected my expectations for the reduced price ($22K using s-plan) that I was not ready for the method by which the Mazda3 would blow me off.

I drive my cars assertively (sometimes assertively competitive if there is such a thing) and can put this car through the moves during possession. Driving a car is an experience every time and that I rely heavily on significant driving/comfort aspects like acceleration, handling, ride, cottage noise, long term driving relaxation and in automobile technology that will all shape upcoming upgrades.

Notice: You may notice a fairly heavy comparison in my first|initial} impressions of the G35 into the Mazda 3 and that's largely because in part to the fact that I almost bought the Mazda3 in 2005 but was offered an excellent lease deal on a 2005 G35x packed for almost the same I would pay to own the Mazda3.

Seemed like a good idea at the time. Biggest regret of my life.

Now that you understand me, let's discuss why you are here: initial impressions!

First Impressions

There are a ton of very impressive features in this car! I fought for a long time with not being technologically current in my 2005 Infiniti and the Mazda 3  like an reply to my prayers. attributes

1) Remote Start - I really  can't believe how bad cool remote start really is. Producers are finally beginning to offer remote launch as an attachment that is installed in the interface and I urge it 200%. It is fantastic for each and every  potential hot/cold day whenever you don't feel like running out from the weather to start the car so that it may warm up just to run back into the home and finish getting ready.

Remote start is something that I really could see myself not alive without ever again and it wasn't a choice about the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for supplying it. For the 2008.5 mid-year refresh, Mazda has incorporated the remote launch into the normal key fobs so now you will not have two types of controller keys to work with on one set.

2) Rain Sensing Wipers - If you have never seen it, you wouldn't believe it. While driving home I did not believe the rain sensing wipers were working correctly because the stem seemed to be in the perfect place and it was raining quite hard. I fiddled with the stalk for just a little bit and discovered that it was in its"Off" position rather than"Vehicle". Once rotating the ending bit into the perfect place it functions quite well but I really don't think placing"Away" and"Automobile" inside a knob's twist off was the best idea on the planet.

3) The Manual Leveling HIDs - that I|I still} don't know if it is manual really. It is kind of manual and automatic. You move the change up or down until you reach the amount you want (0 3) and the automobile adjusts the headlights to match that particular setting. The leveling headlights are not gimmicky whatsoever and were fairly helpful whilst driving through fog and also raising the headlights to watch for deer/pedestrians across the side of the road. Another amazing feature the G35x has been missing.

4) Aux Input - This really is the gold attribute for me! I've always desired a way to play my iPod in my car.  I can't even start to count the amount of trips and meetings I have been overdue on to while waiting for a CD to burn I did not need to pay attention to the identical|identical|exact} old crap from my car whilst driving there. Actually, I desired that the aux input so poor that I denied that the Mazda CX-7 when contemplating my next car purchase purely based on its absence of the aux input and it was worth it ten times over. I love being able to plug my iPhone to the stereo and simply scroll through the playlists to discover a list I am feeling at this time. It works easily and that I really couldn't be more thrilled over this feature.

5) The Ride - Most people are going to offer me a bewildered look but I am telling you that the 2008.5 Mazda3s GT has a nicer ride than my 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only does it ride better but it is much easier and it does not create the"Mothership" car sick after I drive her in the car. Thumbs up all around!

So these are my top five favorite things about the car. Overall it is really just an encounter that new car buyers need to attempt and believe because it is extremely uncommon at this price point. I am finally excited to drive to different locations just to maintain the car and I love all about it! If you don't own one, then buy one. If you own one, purchase a 2008.5 model! brand trim, power driver's seat, gauges and everything in between are worthwhile.
