There are other subtle differences however out of the aforementioned items that the 2008.5 Mazda 3 is pretty similar to the 2008 Mazda3.

About the Driver

I'm coming from a 2005 Infiniti G35x loaded with every possible alternative so while I corrected my expectations to get the lower price ($22K with s-plan) that I wasn't ready for the method by which in which the Mazda3 would blow me off.

I push my cars assertively (sometimes assertively competitive if there's such a thing) and will really put this car through the motions during possession. Driving a car is an adventure every time and that I rely heavily on important driving/comfort facets like acceleration, handling, ride, cottage sound, long duration driving comfort and in automobile technology that will all shape forthcoming upgrades.

Notice: You may notice a pretty hefty contrast in my first|initial} impressions of the G35 into the Mazda 3 and that's mostly due in part to the simple fact that I almost bought the Mazda3 in 2005 but was offered an excellent lease deal on a 2005 G35x loaded for the same that I would pay to own the Mazda3.

Seemed like a good idea at that time.

Now you understand mepersonally, let's discuss why you're here: initial impressions!

First Impressions

There are plenty of very impressive features on this car! I fought for quite a very long time without being technologically current in my 2005 Infiniti along with the Mazda 3  similar to an answer to my prayers. Here are some of my favorite features

1) Remote Start - that I  can't think how bad cool remote start really is. Manufacturers are now beginning to supply remote launch as an accessory that's installed at the interface and I advocate it 200%. It is fantastic for every  potential hot/cold day whenever you don't feel like running out in the weather to begin the auto so that it can warm up only to run back into the house and finish getting ready.

Remote start is some thing that I really could see myself not alive without ever and it wasn't a choice about the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for supplying it. For the 2008.5 mid-year refresh, Mazda has incorporated the remote launch into the normal key fobs so now you will not have two types of control keys to work with on one set.

2) Rain Sensing Wipers - If you've never seen it, you wouldn't think it. While driving home I didn't think the rain sensing wipers were working correctly because the stem appeared to be in the right place and it was raining quite hard. I fiddled with all the stem to get a little bit and found that it was in its own"Off" position instead of"Vehicle". After rotating the ending piece into the right place it functions quite nicely but I really don't think putting"Off" and"Automobile" within a knob's twist off was the best idea on earth.

3) The Manual Leveling HIDs - that I|I still} don't know if it's manual really. It is kind of automatic and manual. You move the switch up or down till you reach the number you need (0 3) along with the automobile adjusts the headlights to match that setting. The leveling headlights are not gimmicky whatsoever and were pretty helpful whilst driving through fog and increasing the headlights to watch for deer/pedestrians across the side of the street. Another brilliant feature the G35x was missing.

4) Aux Input - This really is the gold attribute for me! For the longest time (since 2005) I have always desired a way to play my iPod in my car.  I can't even begin to count the number of excursions and meetings I have been late on to while searching for a CD to burn I didn't need to listen to the exact same|identical|exact} old crap in my car whilst driving . In fact, I desired that the aux input so bad that I refused that the Mazda CX-7 when considering my next vehicle purchase purely based on the lack of an aux input and it was worth it ten times over. I love being able to plug my iPhone into the stereo and simply scroll through the entire playlists to discover a list I'm feeling at this time. It works seamlessly and that I really couldn't be more thrilled over this attribute.

5) The Ride - Most individuals will offer me a confused look but I'm telling you that the 2008.5 Mazda3s GT includes a nicer ride than the 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only does this ride but it's much quieter and it doesn't make the"Mothership" auto sick after I push with her in the car. Thumbs up all around!

So these are the top five favourite things about the car. Overall it's really only an experience that new car buyers need to try and think because it's extremely uncommon at that price point. I'm finally excited to drive different locations just to be in the car and I really like all about it! If you don't own one, then buy one. If you have one, purchase a 2008.5 model! The new trim, power driver's seat, gauges and everything in between are worthwhile.
