About the Driver

I am coming from a 2005 Infiniti G35x loaded with every possible option so while I adjusted my expectations for the reduced price point ($22K with s-plan) I was not ready for the way in which the Mazda3 would blow me off.

I push my cars assertively (sometimes assertively competitive if there is anything ) and can put this vehicle through the motions during possession. Driving a vehicle is an experience each time and I rely heavily on significant driving/comfort aspects like acceleration, handling, ride, cabin sound, long duration driving comfort and in automobile technology which will shape forthcoming upgrades.

Notice: You may observe a fairly hefty contrast in my first|initial} impressions of the G35 to the Mazda 3 and that's largely because in part to the fact that I almost bought the Mazda3 in 2005 but had been offered an excellent rental deal on a 2005 G35x packed for almost the same that I would pay to get the Mazda3.

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Now you understand me, let's talk about why you are here: first impressions!

First Impressions

There are a ton of really impressive features in this vehicle! I struggled for quite a long time with not being current in my 2005 Infiniti and the Mazda 3  similar to an reply to my prayers. characteristics

1) Remote Start - that I  can't believe how bad cool remote start really is. Producers are now starting to give remote start as an accessory that is installed at the port and I recommend it 200%. It's fantastic for each and every  possible hot/cold day if you don't feel like exercising from the weather to start the auto so that it may warm up only to run back in the house and finish getting ready.

Remote start is some thing I really could see myself not living without ever and it wasn't an option about the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for supplying it. For your 2008.5 mid-year refresh, the Mazda has integrated the distant start into the normal important fobs so today you will not have two kinds of controller keys to work with on a single set.

2) Rain Sensing Wipers - If you've never seen it, then you wouldn't believe it. While driving home I didn't think the rain sensing wipers were functioning correctly because the stem appeared to be in the ideal position and it had been raining pretty hard. I fiddled with all the stem to get a little bit and found that it had been in its"Off" position rather than"Automobile". Once rotating the ending bit into the ideal position it works quite nicely but I don't think putting"Away" and"Auto" within a knob's twist off was the best idea on earth.

3) The Manual Leveling HIDs - that I|I still} really don't know if it's manual really. It's kind of manual and automatic. You move the switch up or down till you get to the amount you want (0 - 3) and also the automobile adjusts the headlights to match that particular setting. The leveling headlights aren't gimmicky whatsoever and were fairly helpful whilst driving through fog and also increasing the headlights to watch for deer/pedestrians across the face of the street. Another amazing feature the G35x was overlooking.

4) Aux Input - This is the golden feature for me! For the longest time (since 2005) I have always desired a way to play my iPod in my car.  I can't even start to count the amount of trips and meetings I've been overdue on to while searching for a CD to burn I didn't have to listen to the same|identical|exact} old crap from my car whilst driving . In fact, I desired that the aux input so poor that I refused that the Mazda CX-7 when contemplating my next vehicle purchase purely based on the absence of the aux input and it had been worth it ten times over. I really like being able to plug my iPhone into the stereo and just scroll through the entire playlists to discover a list I am feeling right now. It works smoothly and I really couldn't be more thrilled over this attribute.

5) The Ride - Many individuals will give me a bewildered look but I am telling you that the 2008.5 Mazda3s GT includes a nicer ride than my 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only does this ride but it's much simpler and it does not make the"Mothership" auto sick when I push her in the vehicle. Thumbs up all over!

So these are my top five favourite things about the vehicle. Overall it's really only an experience that new car buyers have to attempt and believe because it's extremely rare at the price point. I am finally excited to drive different places just to be in the vehicle and I really like all about it! In the event you don't own one, buy one. If you have one, buy a 2008.5 version! brand trim, power driver's seat, gauges and all things in between are worthwhile.
