The 2010 Camaro is one of the very few cars to come from the plan studio appearing very much like it is prototype. Rather than send an upgraded fifth generation version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused retro theme was chosen, hearkening back to the design cues which made the automobile such a large hit when it debuted in 1967. But  John Miles Chevrolet Used Cars did an excellent job of evoking the flavor of the past with modern creature comforts. But how can it be to push the brand 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Various trim levels are available to create the automobile suit your taste, but most people will look at one of two currently available models: the RS and SS variants. My very first test drive was using the six cylinder powered RS (for rebound Sport) version. This V6 is really a variant of the General Motors corporate engine which goes in most of the cars these days. With Direct Injection and other modern technology, this engine produces over 300 horsepower.  For reference, the final of the fourth generation Camaro's only made about 20 more horsepower, and that was having a V8.

From the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is plentiful, but some substances are a bit tough on the eyes and a bit less tender to the touch for a car at that price point. The dark inside contrasts the thin foliage of light coming from through the very cool looking, but hard to see from windows. Some function is, regrettably, forfeited in the name of form and selling more cars.

The RS might be the best bargain for all,  the normal independent rear suspension and mild six cylinder engine contributing to a mild front end with enough electricity to earn the RS a excellent handling car. Autocrossers may prefer the RS for this reason. But exactly what exactly the six lacks, besides a power bulge to V8 territory, is that the kick in the pants power and sound of their corporate LS series engines installed in much more expensive models. Without further ado, we move to the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport model endeavors to remember the days of large block energy. Chevrolet's site says this 6.2 liter V8 will find a true world 19 miles per gallon from the EPA test cycle. But using 422 horsepower on tap, so many won't be able to control themselves enough to see their best mileage. In actuality, after driving the SS, it was hard to return it to the merchant. The SS does all the RS does, however, with more force. The handling is somewhat compromised by the engine, but the suspension does a good job of reigning which in. If understeer become an issue, judicious (not unbridled, particularly with the SS) application of the throttle will help that separate back step out and fix the vehicles' direction.

With a mimimum of 300 horsepower and a few notable standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro has been enjoyable.  Pay attention to the option box for this SS engine and you'll feel nostalgic in front of the wheel. Although outward visibility is slightly compromised, there'll not be a error when you return the road this can be really anything but a Camaro. Considering all of this, it is not surprising that the vehicle has earned the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
