'Diesel-gate' has everyone talking about the German carmaker. But what do you really know about the company that brought you Das Auto?
In 2017, the Volkswagen brand turned 80 years old. According to the website, history.com, it was established by German Chancellor Adolf Hitler to build a car .

seeking a new car to replace my worn out Honda that had little to no life left. |} The cost I was hoping to pay was about $20,000 giving me plenty of choices to pick from. After test driving several different models, I chose to the Is Volkswagen A German Car. My experience was mostly positive, however, the vehicle is not without faults.

Acceleration: The car has got the 5cylinder engine using 150hp. It moves the car around adequately enough, but the vehicle is not fast by any other means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 speed to make sure you're constantly in the best gear. If you purchase a brand new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a bit more peppy because it has an additional 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car a 7/10 for speed.

that is unheard of at this budget.  It's quite smooth. {I would accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and provides just the ideal amount of feedback. really striking and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The car rides company, but is controlled and comfortable. I prefer a firmer ride into the soft mushy feeling you get at a vehicle like the Toyota Camry. Total 8/10.

Chairs: There's tons of room front and back. For passengers and the seating is company, but comfortable. There are plenty of adjustments for the front seats including spinal modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it effortless for anybody to obtain a fantastic driving position. Total 9/10

Trunk: The trunk is huge, and can be larger than most. Moreover, the car gets hooks for you grocery store bags in order that they remain in an upright position. It's touches like these that make this vehicle unique.  10/10

Exterior Styling: Your car looks classy with its own chrome grille therapy, but the vehicle is a bit too tall for my tastes. Some of the outside views seem somewhat too Japanese for my own taste, including the back which has tail lights like the Toyota Corolla. Total 7/10

Interior Styling: The inside seems more costly the anything in this class. The materials are rich and surfaces feel good quality. 10/10

Safety: This car has airbags galore including two front, two side, and head airbags also. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any significant problems with the vehicle, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission falls down sharply sometimes and some of the inside elements come loose. Also, the passenger has been sticky ever since I bought it. People must pull on the door handle twice to start it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.
