Even the 2010 Camaro is among the few cars to come out of the design studio looking very much like it is prototype. Instead of send an updated fifth generation version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused decorative theme was chosen, hearkening back into the layout cues that made the car such a major hit when it debuted in 1967. However,  Gainesville Chevrolet Used Cars did an excellent job of evoking the taste of the past with modern creature comforts. However, how can it be to drive the brand 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Various trim levels are offered to produce the auto match your taste, but most folks will appear at one of two presently available versions: the RS and SS versions. My very first test drive was using both cylinder powered RS (for rebound Sport) model. This V6 is really a version of the General Motors corporate engine that goes in many of the cars nowadays. contemporary technologies, this engine makes over 300 horsepower.  For reference, the final of this fourth generation Camaro's just made around 20 more horsepower, and that was using a V8.

From the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is abundant, but some materials are a bit hard on the eyes and also a bit less delicate to the touch for a car in this price point. The dark inside contrasts the thin slit of light coming in through the very cool looking, but difficult to see out of windows. Some function is, regrettably, sacrificed in the name of selling and form more cars.

The RS might be the very best deal for many,  the standard independent rear suspension and mild six cylinder engine contributing to a mild front end with enough electricity to make the RS a excellent handling car. Autocrossers may prefer the RS for just this reason. But what exactly the six lacks, besides a power bump to V8 territory, is the kick in the pants sound and power of their corporate LS series motors installed in much more expensive models. Without further ado, we move to the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport version jobs to remember the times of large block power. Chevrolet's website states that this 6.2 liter V8 will find a real world 19 miles per gallon from the EPA test cycle. However, using 422 horsepower on tap, many will not have the ability to restrain themselves enough to view their very best mileage. In reality, after forcing the SS, it was difficult to return it into the merchant. The SS does all the RS does, however, with greater force. The handling is somewhat compromised with the engine, however, the suspension does a good job of reigning that in. Should understeer become an problem, judicious (not unbridled, especially with all the SS) application of the throttle can help that separate rear step outside and fix the vehicles' management.

Conclusion

Having a mimimum of 300 horsepower and also some notable standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro is fun.  Pay attention to the option box for that SS engine and you'll feel nostalgic in front of the wheel. Although outward visibility is slightly compromised, there will be no mistake when you return the street that this is anything but a Camaro. this, it is not surprising that the automobile has got the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
