Chrysler New Cars 2018

When the first Chrysler New Cars 2018 was launched in the mid-80s, it generated the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) as we know it now, a vehicle with seven or eight chairs that drives like a car. It had been such a hit that it sent all auto makers, including the Japanese and Europeansback to the drawing boards to develop their own MPV versions.

Twenty years on, with nearly every carmaker with its own interpretation of their Voyager, Chrysler has had to continuously update its MPVs to maintain a lead in the section that it's created. The current Grand Voyager is that most demanding version and was launched in the late 90s. It had an outside facelift two decades ago, and this season it gets the revolutionary'Stow n Go' chairs.

Flexibility has always been key to the allure of the MPV, but eliminating the chairs and locating somewhere to store it is an issue, especially in the Asian markets in which folks do not frequently have garages. Ahead of'Stow n Go', the Grand Voyager had small castors beneath their chairs so that they could be wheeled about, however they were incredibly heavy to lift from the vehicle.  The remedy is for chairs which don't need to be raised out, but completely disappear in the floor.

In actuality, the disappearing third row seat isn't a new idea the first'96 Honda Odyssey needed a third row bench that folded and turned to a well in the floor, and the Voyager adopts this idea. Nevertheless, it is the fold of the second row seats that is especially clever. After five easy steps, and the tugging of several tabs and straps, the whole seat literally disappears to the floor with no hint. This is even more impressive since the seat modification functions aren't compromised when upright, it could both slide and recline.

The tip of course, would be to get a seat which folds to as compact a bundle as you can, which is achieved by having both the swab and backrest of equivalent length. This results in a rather low backrest for an otherwise comfy seat. This implies that for many adults, the headrest needs to be raised to keep it from cutting to the middle of the backs.

The mechanicals of the Grand Voyager remain mostly unchanged with a torquey 3.3-litre V6 making it sense well-powered and comfy. Cruising is very effortless in the Chrysler, and there is an impressive lack of road- or engine-noise. It's also exceedingly well-equipped with a roof-mounted DVD player and a lot of storage locations.

There is also an abundance of automation around the Grand Voyager.  The sliding back doors are power-operated, since is the tailgate, and are the hinged rear windows.

Everything can be controlled by the driver's seat, which is extremely convenient. {The doors can also be opened and closed remotely {with|with all|using} the key fob, helpful on rainy days or when the hands are full. |} The use of a Placing monitor display to the rear view mirror is also very thoughtful - it is a surprise nobody else has thought about doing so. Quite obviously, the folks at Chrysler aren't resting on their laurels, but have always added more and more convenient characteristics to the MPV.

The only quirk in this otherwise impressive MPV is that the whole steering columns, along with the stalks, have been taken from a left handed drive vehicle. This means the column gearshift is about the motorist's right, when in many instances it is operated by the left hand. Apart from that, the Grand Voyager continues to impress, and maintains its own title as the ultimate MPV, if price and size were no object.
