After graduating college I was looking for a brand new car to replace my worn outside Honda that had little to no life left. |} The price I was hoping to pay was about $20,000 offering me lots of options to pick from. After test driving several unique models, I chose on the Cars Owned By Volkswagen. My experience has been mostly positive, but the vehicle is not without flaws.

Acceleration: My car has got the 5cylinder engine using 150hp. It transfers the car around adequately enough, but the vehicle is not fast by any other means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 speed to ensure you're constantly in the perfect gear. If you buy a brand new Jetta, the vehicle should feel a bit more peppy as it has an extra 20 horsepower. Overall I'd give the car an 7/10 for speed.

Transmission: The transmission is a 6 speed automatic which is unheard of at this budget.  It is extremely smooth. {I'd accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The car steers accurately and provides just the ideal amount of feedback. Handling is pretty amazing and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The auto rides firm, but is controlled and comfortable. I like a firmer ride into the soft buttery feeling you get at a vehicle such as the Toyota Camry. Overall 8/10.

Chairs: There's tons of space front and rear. For passengers and the seating is company, but comfortable. There are plenty of adjustments for the front seats including lumbar adjustment. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes making it effortless for everyone to find a great driving position. Overall 9/10

Trunk: The trunk is huge, and is bigger than many. Moreover, the automobile includes hooks for you grocery store bags in order that they stay in an upright position. It's touches like these that make this vehicle special.  10/10

Exterior Styling: Your car looks classy with its chrome grille treatment, but the vehicle is a bit too tall for my own preferences. A number of the exterior views seem a bit too Japanese for my own taste, for example, rear which has tail lights such as the Toyota Corolla. Overall 7/10

Interior Styling: The interior seems more costly the anything in the course. The materials are rich and surfaces feel good quality. 10/10

Security: This car has airbags galore involving two frontside, and head airbags too. 10/10

Reliability: I have not had any major difficulties with the vehicle, but it simply has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission strikes down sharply sometimes and a few of the interior elements have come loose. Also, the passenger has been sticky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull on the door handle twice to open it. Overall I'd rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Contemplating its features, quality, and distance the Jetta offers great value for the cost. 8/10
