long-term vehicle is really a mid-year model Mazda 3 with mid-year additional features such as piano black cut, mp3 compatible CD changer, power driver's seat, lighted vanity mirrors and white gauge needles.  In Addition, it has a brand new colour for your Mazda3: Metropolitan Gray Mica. Car Cover For Mazda Miata Mx 5 added a 2nd new colour for your mid year version with a beautiful white decoration alternative but we are MGM people.

There are other subtle differences but outside of the aforementioned things the 2008.5 Mazda 3 is still pretty much like this 2008 Mazda3.

About the Driver

I am coming from a 2005 Infiniti G35x loaded with every possible option so while I corrected my expectations for the lower price point ($22K using s-plan) that I wasn't prepared for the way in which the Mazda3 would blow me off.

I push my cars assertively (sometimes assertively aggressive if there is such a thing) and can put this vehicle through the moves during possession. Driving a vehicle is an experience each time and that I rely heavily on significant driving/comfort facets like handling, acceleration, ride, cabin sound, long duration driving comfort and in automobile technology that will shape forthcoming upgrades.

Notice: You may notice a pretty heavy contrast in my very first|initial} impressions of this G35 into the Mazda 3 and that's mostly because in part to the simple fact that I nearly purchased the Mazda3 in 2005 but had been offered an excellent lease deal on a 2005 G35x packed for nearly the same that I would pay to get the Mazda3.

Seemed like a fantastic idea at the moment.

Now you understand mepersonally, let's talk about why you are here: initial impressions!

First Impressions

There are plenty of really impressive features in this vehicle! I struggled for quite a long time without being current in my 2005 Infiniti and the Mazda 3  similar to an reply to my prayers. Here are some of my favorite features

1) Remote Start - that I  can not think how awful cool remote start actually is. Manufacturers are now starting to provide remote launch as an attachment that's installed in the interface and I advocate it 200%. It's ideal for every  possible hot/cold day when you don't feel like exercising in the weather to start the car so it may warm up only to run back into the house and finish getting ready.

Remote start is some thing that I could see myself not alive without ever and it was not an option over the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for supplying it. For your 2008.5 mid-year refresh, Mazda has integrated the remote launch into the normal important fobs so now you won't have two types of controller keys to work with on one set.

2) Rain Sensing Wipers - In case you've never seen it, then you wouldn't think it. While driving home I did not think the rain sensing wipers were working correctly because the stalk seemed to be in the ideal place and it had been raining quite hard. I fiddled with the stem to get a tiny bit and found that it had been in its own"Off" position rather than"Vehicle". Once rotating the end piece into the ideal place it functions quite nicely but I don't think placing"Away" and"Auto" inside a knob's turn off was the best idea on the planet.

3) The Manual Leveling HIDs - I still|I still} don't know whether it is manual actually. It's kind of manual and automatic. You move the switch up or down until you reach the amount you need (0 3) and the automobile corrects the headlights to match that setting. The leveling headlights are not gimmicky at all and were pretty helpful while driving through fog along with raising the headlights to watch for deer/pedestrians across the face of the road. Another amazing feature the G35x was overlooking.

4) Aux Input - This is the golden characteristic for me! I've always desired a way to play my iPod in my car.  I can not even start to count the amount of trips and meetings I have been overdue to while waiting for a CD to burn off so I did not need to pay attention to the exact same|identical|exact} old crap in my car while driving . In fact, I desired the aux input so bad that I denied the Mazda CX-7 when contemplating my next car purchase purely based on its lack of the aux input and it had been worth it ten times over. I love having the ability to plug my iPhone into the stereo and simply scroll through the entire playlists to discover a list I am feeling at this time. It works smoothly and that I really couldn't be more ecstatic over this feature.

5) The Ride - Many people will offer me a confused look but I am telling you the 2008.5 Mazda3s GT has a nicer ride than the 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only does this ride better but it is much easier and it doesn't create the"Mothership" car sick after I push with her in the vehicle. Thumbs up all around!

So these are the top five favorite things about the vehicle. Overall it is actually only an encounter that brand new car buyers need to attempt and think because it is extremely rare at this price point. I am finally excited to drive different places just to maintain the vehicle and I really like everything about it! If you do not own one, buy one. If you own one, buy a 2008.5 version! brand trim, power driver's seat, gauges and everything in between are worth it.
