The 2010 Camaro is one of the very few cars to come out of the plan studio looking very similar to it is prototype. Instead of send an upgraded fifth production version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused retro motif was selected, hearkening back to the design cues that made the automobile such a huge hit when it debuted in 1967. However,  Bradley Chevrolet Used Cars did a terrific job of evoking the taste of the past with modern creature comforts. However, how is it to push the brand 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Different trim levels are available to create the vehicle suit your preference, but most people will look at one of two currently available versions: the RS and SS variants. My first test drive was with both cylinder powered RS (for rebound Sport) version. This V6 is really a variant of the General Motors company engine that goes in many of their cars these days. With Direct Injection and other modern technology, this engine produces over 300 horsepower.  In this, the final of the fourth generation Camaro's just made around 20 more horsepower, and that was having a V8.

From the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is abundant, but some materials are somewhat tough on the eyes and a bit less soft to the touch for a car at this price point. The dark interior contrasts the thin slit of light coming through the very cool looking, but hard to see out of windows. Some purpose is, regrettably, forfeited in the name of form and selling more cars.

The RS may be the very best bargain for many,  the typical independent rear suspension and mild six cylinder engine leading to a mild front end with sufficient electricity to earn the RS a wonderful handling car. Autocrossers may prefer the RS for just this reason. But exactly what exactly the six lacks, apart from a power bump to V8 territory, is the kick in the pants power and sound of their corporate LS series engines installed in much more expensive models. Without further ado, we move on the the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport version endeavors to remember the days of large block power. Chevrolet's site says that this 6.2 liter V8 can find a true world 19 miles per gallon at the EPA evaluation cycle. However, with 422 horsepower on tap, many won't have the ability to restrain themselves sufficient to view their very best mileage. In actuality, after driving the SS, it was hard to return it to the dealer. The SS does everything the RS does, but with greater force. The managing is somewhat compromised with the heavier engine, but also the suspension does a great job of reigning that in. If understeer become an problem, judicious (not unbridled, particularly with the SS) application of the throttle can help that independent back step out and fix the vehicles' direction.

Conclusion

With a mimimum of 300 horsepower plus some impressive standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro is fun.  Pay attention to the option box for that SS engine and you'll feel superhuman in front of the wheel. Although outward visibility is somewhat compromised, there'll be no mistake when you come down the street that this can be really anything but a Camaro. Considering all of this, it is not surprising that this car has earned the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
