About the Driver
I'm coming out of a 2005 Infiniti G35x loaded with every possible option so while I adjusted my expectations for the lower price point ($22K using s-plan) that I wasn't prepared for the way in which the Mazda3 would blow me off.
I push my own cars assertively (sometimes assertively aggressive if there is anything ) and will really put this car through the moves during possession. Driving a car is an adventure each time and that I rely heavily on significant driving/comfort facets like handling, acceleration, ride, cabin noise, long term driving relaxation and in car technology that will shape upcoming upgrades.
Notice: You might observe a pretty heavy contrast in my first|initial} impressions of this G35 to the Mazda 3 and that is mostly due in part to the simple fact that I nearly purchased the Mazda3 in 2005 but had been offered an excellent lease deal on a 2005 G35x packed for the same I would pay to get the Mazda3.
Seemed like a fantastic idea at the moment.
Now that you understand mepersonally, let's discuss why you're here: initial impressions!
There are lots of really impressive features on this car! I struggled for quite a long time without being technologically current in my 2005 Infiniti and the Mazda 3 like an reply to my prayers. Here are some of my favorite features
1) Remote Start - I really can't think how awful cool remote start really is. Manufacturers are now starting to offer remote launch as an accessory that's installed at the interface and I urge it 200%. It's perfect for every potential hot/cold day whenever you don't feel like exercising from the weather to begin the car so it may warm up just to run back in the house and finish getting ready.
Remote start is some thing that I really could see myself not alive without ever again and it was not a choice over the Infiniti so +1 to Mazda for supplying it. For your 2008.5 mid-year refresh, the Mazda has integrated the remote launch into the normal key fobs so now you will not have two types of control keys to use on one set.
2) Rain Sensing Wipers - If you have never seen it, you wouldn't think it. While driving home I did not believe the rain sensing wipers were functioning correctly because the stalk appeared to be in the ideal position and it had been raining rather hard. I fiddled with all the stalk for just a tiny bit and discovered that it had been in its own"Off" position instead of"Vehicle". After rotating the end bit into the ideal position it works quite nicely but I don't think placing"Away" and"Automobile" within a knob's turn off was the best idea in the world.
3) The Manual Leveling HIDs - I still|I still} don't know if it is manual really. It's kind of automatic and manual. You move the change up or down till you arrive at the number you want (0 - 3) and the car adjusts the headlights to suit that particular setting. The leveling headlights aren't gimmicky at all and were pretty helpful when driving through fog and also lifting the headlights to watch for deer/pedestrians around the side of the street. Another brilliant feature the G35x was overlooking.
4) Aux Input - This is the golden attribute for me! I've always wanted a way to play my iPod in my car. I can't even begin to count the number of trips and meetings I've been late on to while searching for a CD to burn I did not have to pay attention to the same|identical|exact} old crap from my car when driving . Actually, I wanted the aux input so poor that I refused the Mazda CX-7 when considering my next car purchase purely based on the absence of the aux input and it had been worth it ten times over. I love being able to plug in my iPhone to the stereo and simply scroll through the playlists to find a list I'm feeling at the moment. It works seamlessly and that I really couldn't be more ecstatic over this feature.
5) The Ride - Many individuals are going to give me a puzzled look but I'm telling you the 2008.5 Mazda3s GT includes a quieter ride than my 2005 Infiniti G35x. Not only does this ride better but it is much simpler and it doesn't create the"Mothership" car sick after I push with her in the car. Thumbs up all over!

So these are my top five favorite things about the car. Overall it is really only an encounter that brand new car buyers have to attempt to think because it is extremely rare at this price point. I'm finally excited to drive to different places just to be in the car and I love everything about it! If you do not own one, then buy one. If you own one, buy a 2008.5 version! brand trim, power driver's seat, gauges and all things in between are worth it.
