Audi's Audi S5 Car Cover  stance at the Geneva Motor Show hadn't been sublime as it had been in 2010. Why this was happening some folks wondered, however, a closer look at the distinguished stand had them answered. Inspired by nature and made for people such as the Samsung S III, the trailblazer of coupe technology was ideal in all sizes. And it didn't stop there, because of its car's performance rivaled that of those magnificent R8. It had been evident BMW's M3 had eventually found a competitive rival: it had been that the Audi RS 5.

The show-stopper

The automobile wasn't just Audi's hottest new model at the show but also boasted of a better version of the R8's 4.2 litre V8 engine. It now seems this is the trend by German automakers that it had been only a couple of months later BMW had established the sDrive 35iS, which had been the same as the prior sDrive but using a search engine. That however does not mean invention has run in Ingolstadt, for the RS 5 has a freshly designed front splitter with bigger air intakes and double tailpipes at the back. More importantly it includes 19-inch rims as normal using available choices offering 20-inch rims in addition to carbon-ceramic brakes.

Better than Audi R8?

The V8 in the RS 5 produces 444 horsepower, which can be 30 bhp more than the FSI unit in the Audi R8. This is felt at 8250 rpm with 318 lb.-ft of torque wrapped in at 4000 rpm. The car's speed from 0-62 mph is reached in 4.6 minutes prior to going up to a limited top speed of 155 mph that may reach 174mph in case derestricted. The speed is 0.2 minutes greater than in the R8 however, the latter extends up to 186 mph. What did you expect? It Is a Spyder anyway.

The evidence is at the driving

very first time, the specially reinforced DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) unit has appeared in an RS model.  This is the seven-speed S-tronic transmission, which simply refers to 2 clutches, 7 speeds and quick changes. Another inclusion is Audi's all-wheel drive Quattro system which comes with a new type of centre differential that directs around 85 percent of the torque to the back axle and 70 percent to the front. During normal driving the RS 5's distribution is 40/60 front to back and you can turn the ESP system off completely. Even the RS6's Dynamic Ride Control elastic damping system functions as normal and drivers may choose between four driving modes along with a custom one such as in the A8. The car however does not come cheap at #57480, #5430 more than a M3.
