Audi's Audi Henderson Used Cars stand at the Geneva Motor Show hadn't been as sublime as it was at 2010. Why this was happening some folks thought, but a closer look in the distinguished stand had them answered. Inspired by nature and made for humans such as the Samsung S III, the trailblazer of coupe technologies was perfect in all measurements. And it didn't stop there, for the automobile's performance rivaled that of the magnificent R8. It was clear BMW's M3 had eventually found a competitive rival: it was the Audi RS 5.
The automobile was not only Audi's newest new model in the series but boasted of a bigger variant of this R8's 4.2 litre V8 engine. It now appears this is the fad by German automakers that it was just a couple of months after BMW had established the sDrive 35iS, which was the same as the previous sDrive but using a lookup engine. That however does not mean invention has run in Ingolstadt, for the RS 5 has a freshly designed front splitter with bigger air intakes and twin tailpipes in the rear. More to that it includes 19-inch rims as normal using available options offering 20-inch rims in addition to carbon-ceramic brakes.
Better than Audi R8?
The V8 in the RS 5 produces 444 horsepower, which can be 30 bhp over the FSI unit at the Audi R8. This is felt in 8250 rpm with 318 lb.-ft of torque in at 4000 rpm. The car's acceleration in 0-62 mph is accomplished in 4.6 seconds prior to going up to a limited top speed of 155 mph that may get to 174mph if derestricted. The rate is 0.2 minutes greater than at R8 however, the latter goes up to 186 mph. What did you expect? It Is a Spyder anyhow.
