Audi's Audi Cabriolet Convertible Used Cars  stance at the Geneva Motor Show hadn't been as sublime as it had been at 2010. Why this was happening some people wondered, however a closer look in the distinguished stand had them answered. Inspired by nature and made for people like the Samsung S III, the trailblazer of coupe technologies was ideal in all measurements. And it didn't stop there, because of its car's performance rivaled that of the magnificent R8. It had been evident BMW's M3 had finally found a competitive rival: it had been that the Audi RS 5.

The show-stopper

The automobile wasn't only Audi's hottest new version in the show but boasted of a bigger variant of the R8's 4.2 litre V8 engine. It now seems this is the tendency by German automakers because it had been just a couple of months after BMW had launched the sDrive 35iS, that had been the same as the previous sDrive but using a lookup engine. That however doesn't mean innovation has run in Ingolstadt, for the RS 5 has a freshly designed front splitter with larger air intakes and double tailpipes in the rear. More importantly it comes with 19-inch rims as standard using available choices offering 20-inch rims as well as carbon-ceramic brakes.

Greater than Audi R8?

The V8 from the RS 5 produces 444 horsepower, that is 30 bhp more than the FSI unit at the Audi R8. This is felt in 8250 rpm with 318 lb.-ft of torque wrapped in at 4000 rpm. The car's acceleration in 0-62 mph is accomplished in 4.6 seconds before going up to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph that may reach 174mph in case derestricted. The speed is 0.2 seconds better than in the R8 however, the latter goes up to 186 mph. What exactly did you expect? It Is a Spyder anyway.

The proof is at the driving

For the first time, the specially strengthened DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) unit has appeared in an RS version.  This is actually the seven-speed S-tronic transmission, that only refers to 2 clutches, 7 speeds and fast alterations. Another addition is Audi's all-wheel disk drive Quattro system that includes a new type of centre differential that sends around 85 percent of the torque to the rear axle and 70 per cent to the front. During regular driving the RS 5 distribution is 40/60 front to rear and you can flip the ESP system off completely. The RS6's Dynamic Ride Control elastic damping system comes as standard and drivers may choose between four driving modes plus a custom one like at the A8. The car however doesn't come cheap in #57480, #5430 more than a M3.
