seeking a brand new car to replace my worn outside Honda that had little to no life left. |} The price I was expecting to pay was around $20,000 offering me plenty of selections to choose from. After test driving several diverse versions, I chose on the 2010 Volkswagen Golf R. My experience was largely positive, but the car is not without flaws.

Acceleration: The car has the 5cylinder motor with 150hp. It moves the car around sufficiently enough, but the car is not fast by any means. Luckily the transmission is a 6 speed to be sure you're always in the optimal gear. If you get a new Jetta, the car should feel a little more peppy as it has an additional 20 horsepower. Overall I would give the car a 7/10 for acceleration.

Transmission: The transmission is a 6 speed automatic which is unheard of at this budget.  It's quite smooth. {I would accelerate the transmission a 9/10.

Handling/Steering: The auto steers accurately and supplies just the right amount of feedback. Handling is pretty impressive and the car always feels in control. |} Overall I rate it an 8/10 for handling.|}

Ride: The car rides company, but is comfortable and controlled. I prefer a firmer ride to the soft buttery feeling you get at a car such as the Toyota Camry. Total 8/10.

Chairs: There is lots of room front and back. For passengers and the seats is business, but comfortable. There are plenty of adjustments for front seats including spinal modification. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes which makes it simple for anybody to find a good driving position. Total 9/10

Trunk: The back is enormous, and can be bigger than many. Additionally, the car has got hooks for you grocery store bags in order that they remain in a vertical position. It's touches like these that make this car unique.  10/10

Exterior Styling: The car looks elegant with its chrome grille treatment, but the car is a little too tall for my own tastes. Some of the outside views seem a bit too Japanese to my own taste, including the back that has tail lights such as the Toyota Corolla. Total 7/10

Interior Styling: The interior seems more costly the anything in this class. The substances are rich and surfaces feel good quality. 10/10

Security: This car has airbags galore involving two front, two side, and head airbags too. 10/10

Reliability: I haven't had any major difficulties with the car, but it just has 33,000 miles on it. The transmission kicks down sharply sometimes and some of the interior elements come loose. Also, the passenger has been sticky ever since I purchased it. People have to pull on the door handle double to start it. Overall I would rate reliability a 7/10.

Price/Value: Considering its features, quality, and space the Jetta delivers great value for the money. 8/10
