1955 Chevrolet Pedal Car

The 2010 Camaro is one of the few cars to come from the design studio appearing very similar to it's prototype. As opposed to send an updated fifth production version of the Camaro, the sometimes overused retro motif was chosen, hearkening back to the design cues that made the automobile such a big hit when it debuted in 1967. But  1955 Chevrolet Pedal Car did an excellent job of evoking the taste of yesteryear with modern creature comforts. But how can it be to drive the new 2010 Camaro?

Camaro RS

Various trim levels are available to make the auto match your preference, but most individuals will look at one of two currently available models: both the RS and SS variations. My first test drive was with the six cylinder powered RS (for rebound Sport) version. This V6 is really a variant of the General Motors corporate engine that goes in many of the cars nowadays. contemporary technology, this engine produces over 300 horsepower.  In this, the final of the fourth generation Camaro's just made around 20 more horsepower, which was with a V8.

From the Cockpit

Standard equipment on the 2010 Camaro is plentiful, but some substances are somewhat tough on the eyes and a bit less tender to the touch for a car in that price point. The dark interior contrasts the thin slit of light coming in through the very cool looking, but hard to see from windows. Some purpose is, regrettably, forfeited in the name of selling and form more cars.

The RS could be the very best deal for most,  the normal independent rear suspension and mild six cylinder engine leading to a mild front end with enough power to generate the RS a great handling car. Autocrossers may like the RS for this reason. But what exactly the six lacks, apart from a power bump to V8 territory, is the kick in the pants power and sound of their corporate LS series engines installed in more expensive models. proceed to the the Camaro"King of the Hill".

Camaro SS

The Super Sport version endeavors to recall the days of big block power. Chevrolet's website states this 6.2 liter V8 can find a real world 19 mph from the EPA test cycle. But with 422 horsepower on tap, many won't have the ability to restrain themselves enough to view their very best mileage. In reality, after driving the SS, it was hard to return it to the merchant. The SS does all the RS does, however, with more force. The managing is somewhat compromised from the engine, but the suspension does a fantastic job of reigning that in. If understeer become an problem, judicious (not unbridled, particularly with all the SS) application of the throttle can help that independent back step out and fix the vehicles' direction.

Conclusion

Having a mimimum of 300 horsepower and some impressive standard equipment, the 2010 Camaro is fun.  Check off the option box for this SS engine and you will feel superhuman in front of the wheel. Although outward visibility is a bit compromised, there will be no error when you come down the road this is really anything but a Camaro. this, it's not surprising that the car has got the status of a Consumer's Digest Best Buy.
